Nova Medical Hair Transplant Philadelphia is a hair transplant clinic at 325 Chestnut Street in Old City, a few blocks from Independence Hall. We do not offer injectables, laser facials or a long menu of cosmetic extras. Meet Dr. Val Prokurat, MD

Dr. Val Prokurat, MD, oversees hair restoration at our Philadelphia clinic. He is a physician with a long surgical career and extensive training in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery, including the da Vinci Surgical System, and he brings that operating-room precision to every hair transplant plan. He sets the hairline design, the graft estimate and the density and angle strategy for each patient, and he personally oversees the procedure from start to finish.

Why does a surgical background matter for hair? Grafts are living tissue, and how gently they are handled, how quickly they are placed and how the scalp is cared for afterwards all influence how many of them grow. Dr. Prokurat approaches donor planning and graft handling with the same discipline he applies to any surgical case, rather than treating a transplant as a quick cosmetic add-on.

He works with a trained restoration team of technicians and medical staff who perform extraction and graft placement under his direction.
